To celebrate Veterans Day, Episcopal Day School students and family members gathered in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church chapel for a special service on Nov. 11. After a presentation on the History of Veteran's Day by fifth graders and an introduction by his daughter Ellie, Major Jeremie Oates of the Special Forces spoke to students about the meaning of Veterans Day and his years of experience in the service. EDS Cub Scouts donned their uniforms to help fellow members of Pack 73 present the colors, and EDS alum Zachary Lupien closed the service with a trumpet solo of "Taps."
